"#nnn" (Record's Internal Entry Number)

The definitions of new-style indexes are stored in the INDEX file (#.11), a file used internally by VA FileMan. The #nnn is the internal entry number of the record in the INDEX file that contains this index definition.

The index number varies from system to system, just as the internal entry number of records in the Input and Print Template files vary from system to system.
